While deliquency rates for sub-prime mortgages have started to slow, declines for Alt-A (one step above subprime) and prime rate mortgages have begun to increase. Alt-A deliquencies have risen from 3% in 2006 to 12% in 2008. Prime rate deliquencies are up from 1% in 2006 to 3% in 2008.
